New Employee Orientation
Description
New Employee Orientation is a CTL sponsored event
for all newly hired MCC temporary workers, student workers, and board-approved employees (including OYO and OSO). The purpose of New Employee Orientation is to expand on the District sponsored orientation by giving college-specific information that will help acclimate and orient them to MCC. Topics covered are listed below:
- Overview of MCC
- OSHA (Health and Safety) Regulations and general information
- General College Safety
- College Resources
- Professional Development Opportunities
- Human Resources Information
- College Technology Information
- College Policy Group Representatives and Information
Who Should Attend
All newly hired employees (within one year from hire date) including: temporary workers, student workers, board approved employees, one-semester-only (OSO) employees, and one-year-only (OYO) employees. Though adjunct faculty are welcome to attend the orientation, they may find the Adjunct Faculty Orientation (also sponsored by the CTL) more relevant to their jobs.
