Online Orientation

Instructions

Included below are various links to handouts from the face-to-face orientation. These handouts include all the information discussed in orientation. The online orientation will be like a "scavenger hunt" because you are searching for the answers to questions in a quiz by browsing all topics of MCC's New Employee Orientation. Use the questions from the Online Orientation Quiz to help guide you through the links below.

 

Steps to Complete the MCC New Employee Online Orientation
  1. Set aside approximately 60 minutes to review the topics below and answer the quiz questions.
  2. Open the Online Orientation Quiz by clicking the link below. This will open the quiz in a browser window.
  3. Toggle (Go back and forth) between this screen (with all the Orientation Topic links) and the Online Orientation Quiz window so that you can look for the answers as you read the questions on the quiz.
    • The questions in the Online Orientation Quiz are in the same order as the links are displayed on this page
  4. When you get to the end of the quiz and receive your score, click the "Get Certificate" button to view your certificate.
  5. Print the certificate and save it to your computer.
  6. Your finished! Welcome to MCC!

Online Orientation Quiz -- This is a multiple choice quiz with 40 questions. Select the answers to the questions posed by going through the orientation topics below. When finished, you will receive your score for the quiz and will also be prompted to "Get a Certificate" of completion. This certificate is a PDF file that you can save to your computer and/or print for your records.

TSS Homepage -- Technology Support Services (Helpdesk) website. Includes information about getting software and other technical services on campus.

TSS Wiki -- A wiki is an online tool that allows TSS to easily create, maintain, and update information that employees need to access. TSS is using the wiki to build up an online knowledge base and provide commonly needed documentation in a clean, easily searchable environment.
