Residential and adjunct faculty are invited to apply for support to Advanced DLMG (ADLMG) for the spring, 2008, semester to significantly revise an online course or develop an online course that is significantly different from their previous course.
Applicants must have already developed and taught an online course for MCC. The revision process could involve a substantial time commitment to learning and incorporating new technologies. However, other course revisions of a significant nature will be considered. Faculty selected to participate in ADLMG for spring, 2008, will be compensated $750.00 for their work. Individual monthly meetings with Peggy Johnson will be scheduled to share progress/concerns during the ADLMG semester. The revised course will be piloted during the Fall, 2008, semester. ADLMG faculty will include a course evaluation survey at the end of their pilot semester (consider the end-of-course survey identified at this site http://ctl.mc.maricopa.edu/blogcast/?p=35). Results will be shared with the ADLMG mentor so that suggestions may be made for improving the course.
Recommended: If you are like your students and need a little support to get the task accomplished, consider co-enrolling in CIS237 when you are in ADLMG. The purpose of CIS237 is to design a web-based course. CIS237, a support group with deadlines, can help you complete your ADLMG project. For more information on CIS 237, contact Shelley Rodrigo (rrodrigo@mail.mc.maricopa.edu).
