About

Chain Link by Selva MoralesOne way that the Maricopa Community College District (MCCD) supports faculty growth and learning is through local college development efforts coordinated at the district level through the MCCD Faculty and Staff Development Committee .

Faculty developers are residential faculty members assigned development coordination as part of their load. At MCC, the CTL supports this effort by providing space and additional resources to the faculty developer.

Vision

The MCCD Faculty and Staff Development Committee will become a catalyst for effective teaching and learning and for the development of an organizational culture and environment that are learning-centered.

Mission

The MCCD Faculty and Staff Development Committee will enrich and support student and organizational learning by:

  • providing opportunities to explore and test methods of teaching and learning;
  • encouraging dialogue, collaboration, and community building about and around learning;
  • contributing to an organizational climate that encourages and rewards innovation; and
  • advocating the alignment of policies and procedures.
