Let the Conferences Begin!

It seems like February and March are always packed with great conferences – in fact, I just got back from one last week!

Getting to those conferences, however, has its challenges – you need time to plan transportation, reserve accommodations, pack appropriate clothes, apply for outside funds, and assess your own.

In the middle of our busy semesters, though, many of us do find the time to do these things because there’s something so intensely rewarding about being with other people in your field who overcame the same challenges because they’re also excited about the work they do! (more…)
