Assessments Tool

As a student, you can access quizzes and surveys through the Assessments tool. You can access the list of all assessments by clicking on the Assessments link within the Course Tools menu. You can also access a specific Assessment through a link on the Course Content Homepage or within a Learning Module.

If a green star appears next to a tool within the Course Tools menu, a new assessment or item has been added sine the last time you logged into WebCT.

Select Assessments within the Course Tools menu.

Select Begin Assessment to open the Assessment. Once you open the Assessment, the time limit begins. Only open the Assessment when you are ready to take it.

*Error Note: If you click on Begin Assessment and a window does not open, then you have POPUP BLOCKERS on your computer. Turn off all POPUP BLOCKERS when taking Assessments.

Once you start the quiz, you will see the following displays. On the right side of the window a countdown clock, the current time, the time allowed, and the remaining time for you take the quiz appears at the top.

Select the radio button next to the answer you want. Select Save Answer to save this answer. If you change an answer, remember to select Save Answer again.

Make sure that all answers have been saved before you submit your assessment for grading.

Select Finish to submit the assessment for grading. You will be prompted if you are sure you want to submit your assessment. Click the OK button.

Select View Attempt to see the results of the Assessment.

Select Done to exit out of details.

Select Course Content to return to the course homepage.
