Project Goals

  • Bring in a series of lecturers about topics relevant to the lives of adjunct faculty both in and out of the classroom.
  • Make all of these lectures accessible to as many of the adjunct faculty population as possible

  • The Adjunct Faculty Developer, Nicole Lohrbeer, coordinates these efforts.

Project Timeline

  • Project was initiated in Spring 2007 by part-time Adjunct Faculty Developer, Nicole Lohrbeer.
  • "Applying for Residential Faculty Jobs at MCCCD" on February 12th 2007 presented by Christine Hall. Over thirty-five adjunct faculty in attendance and more interested but unable to attend. The audio for his lecture was captured in a podcast and an American Sign Language interpreter was videotaped and will be available in the CTL for faculty to borrow.
  • Additional lectures to be offered in 2006-7.

Current Status

  • Additional lectures to be offered in April, September and November of 2007 on a variety of topics.

Project Outcomes

  • Over 35 adjunct faculty have participated in the first lecture.
