Project Goals
- Provide an opportunity for the CTL to model the podcasting process using iTunes U as a delivery mechanism
- Further increase our relationship with the ITS department in collaboratively working together to reach a common technology goal.
Current Status
ITunes U is now being implemented by the college district and MCC now has access to the storage repository. We are currently working with MCC ITS to determine the best use practices as well as developing the technology infrastructure(s) necessary to make it a useful resource on campus for student and faculty alike
Relation to CTL Department Plan Initiatives
- 2006-7 #6 CTL Innovative Instructional Technologies Program -- To provide effective support for teaching and learning with technology, CTL staff must explore, develop and experiment with promising new instructional technologies that have potential to enhance teaching and learning. These activities will allow us to recommend and support appropriate technologies to promote learning outcomes.
Project Staff
- Donna Gaudet is the main contact for podcasting for instructional purposes at MCC
- Jeffrey Anderson interfaces with ITS for technology infrastructure questions and issues.
- James Bowles consults on the look and feel of the iTunes U interface as it pertains to MCC
