Project Goals
The goal of the mentor program is to celebrate and share the rich creativity and successful teaching skills that are inherent within our faculty and their classrooms. In order to do this, we hope to create a database that highlights specific individual skills and expertise, connecting these skilled individuals with people who want to learn more.
Current Status
We are currently working on soliciting volunteers to highlight a given skill or practice used in their classroom that has measurable results that demonstrates success with student learning. These volunteers will serve as a guiding template for future requests for mentors.

Project Timeline
Survey was administered to faculty in 2005, which led to a development of a database that was never fully completed. However, from that list, early volunteers were solicited to help to set up the general format and provide a guideline for other interested faculty to participate.
Project Resources
CTLpedia will host the mentor pages with a general summary available for individuals to peruse. Mentors will agree to make themselves available to meet with interested individuals.
Project Outcomes and Future Directions
Faculty will have resources of fellow faculty from whom they can learn new skills that can be used in their classroom. This can be both one-on-one as well as workshops. This may help address those that feel intimidated to come to a large workshop, or those who have schedules that do not match those of provided workshops.
CTL will have a database of expertise to pull from for workshops and other learning opportunities (e.g., New Faculty Experience). We also hope this will serve to encourage more faculty to share their experiences and expertise.
