Podcasting FPLC Background
Specifically, the podcasting FPLC is about experimentation and research in the area of podcasting for higher education. As part of our work together during the 2006/2007 school year, the Podcasting FPLC group:
- Researched and read a variety of articles
- Discussed aspects of podcasting in general and the use of media in higher education specifically
- Searched for and listened to a variety of podcasts, both education and non-education related
- Experimented with different technologies to deliver podcasts
- Planned and implemented podcasting projects in our discipline areas
My Initial Views on Podcasting
Type your text here... I always had an interest in podcasting and its application to an online newspaper. Obviously, it has been used very successfully by many organizations most notably The New York Times, which has used both audio and streaming video to as another entry point for its readers.
Podcasting FPLC Activities Experienced
Type your text here... The usefulness of podcasting within my group transcended online newspapers. Others within the group talked about podcasting lectures and labs. My initial thoughts ran strictly to the newspaper application, but other uses were brought out by my colleagues. the FPLC became an opportunity not only to further my goals, but to actually learn something.
Reflection on my Experience in Podcasting FPLC
Type your text here... My experience overall was excellent. Unfortunately, there were time conflicts and contraints. Although a priority, other duties and obligations had to take precedence toward the end of the FPLC. We had great group dynamics. Everyone felt comfortable to speak. As I said at the beginning, a well-facilitated excellent experience.

A pleasure to be a part of and to experience the collegiality of my peers. Thanks for the opportunity. Good food, good company, good discussions.
