Publisher Newsletters is a workshop that teaches participants some basic skills for developing a publication in Publisher. If you attend the workshop or download the accompanying materials, you will be able to do the following tasks in Publisher:
- Plan a blank newsletter publication.
- Create a new blank publication.
- Create and edit master pages.
- Create columns on a page.
- Insert page numbers.
- Ignore master pages.
- Create screened and drop-shadow boxes.
- Rotate text.
- Save as a reusable template.
- Insert text files.
- Link and unlink text boxes.
- Insert ‘continued on page…’ text.
- Insert, move and resize pictures.
- Text wrapping options for pictures.
- Edit wrapping points on a picture.
- Crop an inserted picture.
- Create new styles.
- Apply, modify and delete styles.
- Insert drop cap letters.
- Insert a masthead.
- Add finishing touches such as captions and down lines.
