Wimba VoiceTools

Description
The four Wimba VoiceTools that are available now within WebCT are:
- Voice Board - A tool that allows the instructor to create an audio and text discussion topic. Students can interact with each other and the instructor using audio and/or text.
- Voice Direct - An audio and text chat tool. Students and instructors can chat using audio and/or text.
- Voice Recorder - A tool that allows the instructor to create an audio message to their students within their WebCT course.
- Wimba Podcaster - A tool that allows the instructor to create and compile a series of audio messages. Or the instructor can allow students to post audio messages.
To add any of the Wimba VoiceTools to your course, follow these steps:
- Login and access a WebCT course
- Move to the Build tab
- Click on Add Content Link within the content page at the top
- Click on VoiceBoard, click on Create VoiceBoard (or VoiceRecorder, or VoiceDirect, or Wimba Podcaster)
- Type in a Title, Description (optional) and change any of the default options as desired.
- Click on the Continue button as needed to move between pages and to add the new tool
To make your recording:
- Click on the Teach tab.
- Click on the name of the file you created above for Voice Recorder (or Voice Direct, Voice Board or Wimba Podcaster).
- Click again to open the Voice Recorder link (or link to Voice Direct, Voice Board, or Wimba Podcaster).
- Click on the red button to record the audio.
